The Danube is a horse from Bulgaria recently established, obtained by crossing the Nonius stallions with mares Gidran. Horse elegant bearing, slender body, well proportioned, has a straight profile, strong neck, chest amble, sturdy limbs and slender and well formed hooves. The coat is black or dark brown. The Danubian has a good character is docile and gentle but also active and energetic, is suitable for all sports and also knows how to be a good jumper, in Bulgaria, however, is almost exclusively used to pull wagons and carriages.
