The Polo Equestrian sport is one of the oldest and most popular in the world. Its origins are not defined, much of the East, in fact, they claim paternity, the news story we learn quite confusing, but it seems that far back in 600 BC games were held in Persia between Turks and Persians. The first recorded polo tournament in Italy go back to 'Year 1926.
Polo is a team sport, each team has four players on horseback who face the opposing team, holding a stick of bamboo. The goal of the game is to push with the bat, a ball of wood to the door, made of two poles, the rival team.
The game takes place in time called "chukkas", as the regulations may vary from four to eight of the last seven minutes each. During the competition, attend three arbitrators, two of them on horseback, on the large playing field, closely following the race and the third controls from outside the field. The horses, during the competition, are put to the test, are encouraged to run continuously, therefore, to safeguard their health every player at the end of a chukker must change.
