The Chincoteague ponies of Assateague are from the United States and the precise Assateague and Chincoteague islands from which they are named. For their appearance rather than the Chincoteague Assateague ponies look like miniature horses, almost always have a brindle manetello even if it is not uncommon to see them in plain-colored varieties, are strong, rustic and resistant to adverse weather.
The character of this breed of ponies is not the best, in fact, grumpy and stubborn rebel domabili therefore difficult.
