Breed Horse of Poitou

The Horse is a breed of Poitou-born French derived from horses imported from the Netherlands, Norway and Denmark and mated with mares of the place. The Poitou is also called a "mule" for its use in accoppamenti for the production of mules. Horse from the robust physique and massive, the Poitou is tireless in work but not easy to train, slow movements, has a heavy head, large ears, short neck with bushy mane, thick, hairy legs and feet large and flat. His character is balanced but not very lively.
