Breed Basuto

The Basuto Pony is a native of South Africa, horses descended from the Berbers, Arabs and the English Thoroughbred. Some examples of this breed were brought in early 1800 in Basutoland. The arid climate and the hardships of this land have altered the original appearance of this horse, making it smaller than the original strain but also more robust and durable.
The Basuto has the elegant head and neck long and slender limbs are short while the foot is strong, his character is affable, docile and courageous.
