Sant' Eligio di Noyon

Sant 'Eligio of Noyon, or Alo or LO (Chaptelat, about 588 - Noyon, 1 December 660), was a goldsmith, then a senior official of the court of the Merovingian kings, is venerated as a saint by the Catholic Church. It is the patron saint of goldsmiths, of numismatists, farriers and veterinarians; would miraculously reattached the leg of a horse, the saint had great popularity in the Middle Ages, the Roman Martyrology fixed for His feast date of 1 December.
